My name is Simona Buna and art has been my passion since childhood. Originally from a quaint town in Romania , I was exposed to the many facets of artistic expression by my first teacher: my father. The vivid memories I have of my father sharing his craft with me, guide me still today. As a child, our home was filled with his magnificent work and despite the challenges of living during a time of communist rule, my father instilled his passion for art in me. As my skill for drawing and painting developed, my talents blossomed and were appreciated by others as well.
I later discovered the hobby that would take me down a new and exciting path: photography. It began with snapshots of still life in nature and eventually, as my confidence grew, I realized my images lacked the human element.
Once I began photographing people, I found it so fulfilling to capture the expressions and emotions of individuals and to be able to share those moments with others. Regardless of how many sessions I do or how many people I have the pleasure to work with, I am constantly amazed by every individual’s uniqueness. Each and every person offers a distinct feature, expression or countenance to those around them.
It is my privilege to experience these wonderful moments and I welcome the opportunity to serve you or your family in capturing those moments as well. My husband provides computer and technical support for my imaging and we currently have a small studio in our home for photography sessions for our clients. In addition to our in-home studio, Simona Buna Photography offers a wide range of flexibility with regards to session location. We respect each individual or family’s specific tastes and encourage our clients to choose settings that fit their needs and make them feel the most comfortable and relaxed.
As well as producing high quality images, it is our mission to provide photography sessions that are enjoyable and reflect the personal style of our clients. We are available to photograph families, children and individuals in the comfort of their own homes or we are happy to assist in choosing from a variety of outdoor settings.
